This is a list of scholarships that are available for students of M膩ori or Pacific descent who intend to enrol at UC in the first year of an undergraduate degree in 2025.听
Each scholarship has different eligibility criteria so check the details of each one to find out if you're eligible.听听
We recommend you apply for听all听the听scholarships you are eligible for, as it is possible to be awarded more than one scholarship at a time.听

UC Business School First Year Scholarship for Excellence
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听The scholarship recognises academic and extracurricular achievement of students in secondary education within Aotearoa New Zealand, and supports study in a programme for a BCom degree at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 成人大片.
Value:听$5,000
Who is eligible:听First-year undergraduate students intending to enrol in a Bachelor of Commerce.
Other relevant information:听Scholarship is dependent on achievement of Merit or higher at NCEA Level 2, or an equivalent university entrance qualification.
UC Engineering M膩ori Scholarship
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听This scholarship recognises and supports high achievers amongst 膩konga M膩ori (M膩ori students) entering their first year of a BE(Hons) degree programme at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 成人大片.
Value:听$5,000 or $3,000 or $1,000
Who is eligible:听First-year M膩ori undergraduate students intending to enrol full-time in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) programme.
Other relevant information:听Open to students commencing their first undergraduate year.
UC Engineering Pacific Scholarship
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听This scholarship recognises and supports high-achieving Pacific students entering their first year of a BE(Hons) degree programme at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha 成人大片.
痴补濒耻别:听$5,000or $3,000 or $1,000
Who is eligible:听First-year Pacific undergraduate students intending to enrol full-time in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) programme.
Other relevant information:听Open to students commencing their first undergraduate year.
UC Kaitoko M膩ori Scholarship
听
Purpose: This scholarship recognises leadership potential, involvement in community and cultural activities, and high academic achievement amongst intending first-year 膩konga | students who have whakapapa M膩ori at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 成人大片.
Value: $7,500 towards tuition fees in the first year that fees are payable, as well as an opportunity to participate in the UC M膩ori leadership programme, Paihere, and a UC sponsored general leadership programme.
Who is eligible: Prospective first-year M膩ori undergraduate students who achieved Merit at NCEA Level 2 or a corresponding level in an equivalent university entrance qualification.
Other relevant information: Open to students commencing their first undergraduate year in the year following application.
UC Kaitoko Pacific Scholarship
听
Purpose: This scholarship recognises high academic achievement, as well as leadership potential and involvement in Pacific community and/or Pacific cultural activities, amongst intending first-year Pacific students at the 成人大片.
Value: $7,500 towards tuition fees in the first year that fees are payable, as well as an opportunity to participate in a UC-sponsored leadership programme.
Who is eligible: Prospective first-year Pacific undergraduate students who achieved Merit at NCEA Level 2 or a corresponding level in an equivalent university entrance qualification.
Other relevant information: Open to students commencing their first undergraduate year in the year following application.
UC Mathematics & Statistics M膩ori Aspire听Scholarship
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听This scholarship recognises and supports M膩ori students with high potential at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 成人大片 who are entering their first year of a programme for a BA, BDataSci, or BSc degree and majoring in Data Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
痴补濒耻别:听$2,000
Who is eligible:听First-year undergraduate M膩ori students intending to enrol in a BSc or BA with a major in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or Financial Engineering.
Other relevant information:听Applicants must be enrolled in specific courses.听
UC Mathematics & Statistics Pacific Aspire听Scholarship
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听This scholarship recognises and supports Pacific students with high potential at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 成人大片 who are entering their first year of a programme for a BA, BDataSci, or BSc degree and majoring in Data Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.

Who is eligible:听First-year undergraduate Pacific students intending to enrol in a BSc or BA with a major in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or Financial Engineering.

Who is eligible:听First-year undergraduate students intending to enrol in a Bachelor of Forestry Science.
