This is a list of scholarships that are available for students intending to enrol at UC in the first year of an undergraduate degree in the Engineering, Forestry, Product Design or Mathematics and Statistics areas.聽
Each scholarship has different eligibility criteria so check the details of each one to find out if you're eligible.聽聽
We recommend you apply for聽all聽the聽scholarships you are eligible for, as it is possible to be awarded more than one scholarship at a time.聽

Engineering
Aruhiko - Power Engineering Excellence Trust Incoming First-Year Scholarship

Value:听$3,000
Who is eligible:聽First-year undergraduate students intending to enrol in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
Other relevant information:聽Applicants are accepted from those who have never been enrolled in a degree programme at any tertiary institute.聽
DIALOG Fitzroy 成人大片 Engineering Scholarship
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听This scholarship supports undergraduate Engineering students at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 成人大片 from the Taranaki region.
痴补濒耻别:听One year scholarship = $5,000; Two year scholarship = $15,000 per annum
Who is eligible:聽First-year undergraduate students from the Taranaki region intending to enrol in a Bachelor or Engineering (Hons) in Chemical & Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Natural Resources Engineering.
Other relevant information:聽Applicants must be completing a university entrance qualification in the Taranaki region in the year of application (or, in the case of a gap year, in the year immediately prior).聽
Edna Waddell Undergraduate Scholarships for Women
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听The Edna Waddell scholarships are for women entering their first year of full time study for undergraduate degrees in professional engineering or technology at New 成人大片universities.
痴补濒耻别:听$5,000
Who is eligible:聽Female first-year undergraduate students studying Technology or Engineering.

Tait Foundation WiE CAN Scholarship
Purpose:聽The scholarship supports those who attended the Women in Engineering residential programme (WiE CAN) at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 成人大片 and are in their first year of a programme for a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours degree BE(Hons).
痴补濒耻别:听$5,000
Who is eligible:聽First-year undergraduate students intending to enrol full-time in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) programme.
Other relevant information:聽Applicants must have participated in the WiE CAN residential programme at UC in the preceding year.
Tait Foundation Women in Engineering Scholarship

痴补濒耻别:听$2,000
Who is eligible:聽First-year undergraduate female students intending to enrol full-time in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) programme.
UC Engineering International Scholarship
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听To聽recognise top international scholars and support them in study towards an undergraduate Engineering degree at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 成人大片.
Value:聽$15,000 towards tuition fees
Who is eligible:聽First-year full-fee-paying international undergraduate students who are currently studying at a secondary school in Aotearoa New Zealand. If you are studying offshore or at UCIC, please refer to the separate聽聽listings. Applicants may聽not聽be a citizen of Aotearoa New 成人大片or Australia, hold an Aotearoa New 成人大片residence class visa, or be a Permanent Resident of Australia.
Other relevant information:聽Applicants must be intending to enrol full-time in a BE(Hons) degree programme.
UC Engineering M膩ori Scholarship
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听This scholarship recognises and supports high achievers amongst 膩konga M膩ori (M膩ori students) entering their first year of a BE(Hons) degree programme at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 成人大片.
Value:聽$5,000 or $3,000 or $1,000
Who is eligible:聽First-year M膩ori undergraduate students intending to enrol full-time in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) programme.
Other relevant information:聽Open to students commencing their first undergraduate year.
UC Engineering Pacific Scholarship
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听This scholarship recognises and supports high-achieving Pacific students entering their first year of a BE(Hons) degree programme at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha 成人大片.
痴补濒耻别:听$5,000or $3,000 or $1,000
Who is eligible:聽First-year Pacific undergraduate students intending to enrol full-time in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) programme.
Other relevant information:聽Open to students commencing their first undergraduate year.
UC Engineering Top Achievers Scholarship
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听The scholarship recognises and supports top achievers entering their first year of study in a BE(Hons) degree programme at Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 成人大片.
Value:聽$5,000 per annum, or $1,500 per annum for two years
Who is eligible:聽First-year undergraduate students intending to enrol in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) programme.
Other relevant information:聽Applicants must have studied at secondary level either (1) in Aotearoa New Zealand, or (2) overseas at Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu. International students who meet these requirements are eligible to apply.聽
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听This scholarship recognises and supports promising students from the Masterton District1 who intend to complete a programme for an undergraduate degree in Civil or Natural Resources Engineering at the 成人大片.
痴补濒耻别:听$4,500
Who is eligible:聽First-year undergraduate students who studied in the territory of the Masterton District Council intending to enrol in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil or Natural Resources Engineering.
Other relevant information:聽Applicants must be completing a university entrance qualification in the territory of the Masterton District Council in the year of application (or, in the case of a gap year, in the year immediately prior).
Forestry
UC School of Forestry High Achievers Award
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听This scholarship recognises and supports high-achieving students entering their first year of the Bachelor of Forestry Science (BForSc) degree programme at the 成人大片.
Value:听$2,000
Who is eligible:聽First-year undergraduate students intending to enrol in a Bachelor of Forestry Science.
Other relevant information:聽Applicants must have studied at secondary level either (1) in Aotearoa New Zealand, or (2) overseas at Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu. International students who meet these requirements are eligible to apply.
WIDE Trust Undergraduate Scholarship聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽聽
笔耻谤辫辞蝉别:听Funded by the Wood Industry Development and Education (WIDE) Trust, this scholarship is to support undergraduate study related to Forestry at UC.聽
痴补濒耻别:听Financial assistance at the value of $10,000 for one year.
Who is eligible:聽聽Applicants must be enrolled, or intending to enrol, full-time at UC in one of the following: (a) the First Year of a BForSc programme; or (b) the Second Year of a BE(Hons) programme in Forest Engineering in the year following application. Applicants must be Aotearoa New 成人大片citizens.

Product Design
UC Product Design Scholarship

Who is eligible:聽All first-year undergraduate students who completed MATH199: AIMS - Advancing in Mathematical Science at UC.
Other relevant information:聽The scholarship will be offered to all eligible candidates who receive an A+ grade in the course MATH199: AIMS - Advancing in Mathematical Sciences at UC. NO SEPARATE APPLICATION IS REQUIRED.

UC Mathematics and Statistics STAR Scholarship
Purpose:聽This scholarship recognises outstanding performance in MATH 199, the STAR course at Te Kura P膩ngarau | School of Mathematics and Statistics of Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 成人大片, and supports students majoring in Applied Data Science, Computational and Applied Mathematical Sciences, Data Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics at the University.
痴补濒耻别:听$5,000 per annum for three years
Who is eligible:聽First-year undergraduate students intending to enrol in at least 60 points per academic year of taught courses that contribute to a degree programme with a major in: Applied Data Science; or Computational and Applied Mathematical Sciences; or Data Science; or Financial Engineering; or Mathematics; or Statistics.
Other relevant information:聽Closing date 01 November. Applicants must be enrolled in the STAR course offered by the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University (MATH 199).
