O lo'u igoa o Knoxena (My name is Knoxena - in Samoan!) and I am a Student Care Advisor. My pronouns are she/her. I am a second-generation Aotearoa-born Samoan, born in 艑tepoti (Dunedin), raised here in 艑tautahi. I hail from the village of Saleipouae, Saleimoa. I come back to UC, not as an 膩konga, but now as kaimahi and alumna of UC! I听have a bachelors degree with honours in Social Work, and have recent experience working alongside our older persons', former refugee and migrants, and Pasifika communities. 听

As a former student, I know exactly what it is like to feel the weight of the world on your shoulders. Part of my mahi is to tautoko you through those tricky, hard to manage situations. I use Indigenous M膩ori and Pasifika values and frameworks to help underpin my practice, and want to create a space for us to work in partnership听with one another!
